Fair is Foul and Foul is Fair

The war has come to an end.  With his ambition stoked by ancient supernatural forces, and spurred on by his wife, Macbeth turns his hand to grisly murder and betrayal.

Played out against the backdrop of the end of World War One, history takes a dark turn and the stage is set for civil war.

Performed as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, Putney Theatre Company is looking for accomplished actors to play the following roles in this exciting and challenging production.

Auditions will consist of short scenes and speeches from the play.  These will be given to you on the day.

We are expecting to see a lot of people for this production so, please arrive for the audition at least fifteen minutes before it starts and be prepared to be at the theatre for a while.

If you are planning to attend, it would be helpful if you could let the director, Ian Higham, know which audition date you would like to be seen on, at: ian@nickhernbooks.co.uk. Please use the subject line Macbeth auditions.

Rehearsals will begin in September and generally consist of two or three evenings a week and during the day on Sundays. (Not everyone will have to attend every rehearsal until closer to the production dates).

Please note this is an amateur production. You do not need to be a member of Putney Theatre Company to audition, but actors and crew will need to become members to take part in the show (£20 a year), and actors must pay a £20 show fee.
